Covid-safe Research Screenings

The Challenge

To determine the audience and key factors to underpin marketing for the Sky Cinema release, Twist, the film distributor wanted to recruit a young audience for a research screening during the Coronavirus pandemic. There was a challenge both in regard to successful recruitment and safe event management.

The Solution

Audiences were not accessible using traditional methods of recruitment and schools were closed. We used our existing database of film audiences and targeted users in the local area who had been to see equivalent titles that put them into a relevant demographic bracket. Using our ticket application platform, we gathered applicant ages and manually confirmed applicants based on our required audience makup. The event was run fully digitally to ensure Covid safety and the event was split across 2 screens with seats allocated to provide for social distancing.

The Result

We managed to deliver one of the only research events that took place in the UK during a highly prohibitive period. A successful recruit and a successful event were delivered to brief with detailed insight to support the marketing campaign.
